Eligibility Criteria:

  • Nationality: Indian citizen or Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) cardholder.
  • Age: Must be 17 years or above as of December 31st of the year of admission.
  • Educational Qualification: Passed the 10+2 examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English as mandatory subjects, securing at least 50% aggregate marks (45% for reserved categories).

Exam Structure:

The JIPMER UG entrance exam is a single-day, pen-and-paper based test comprising three sections:

  • Physics: 60 questions, 180 marks (3 hours)
  • Chemistry: 60 questions, 180 marks (3 hours)
  • Biology: 60 questions, 180 marks (3 hours)

Each question carries 3 marks, with negative marking for incorrect answers (-1 mark). The total marks for the exam are 540.
