Exam Format:

The PGIMER entrance exam is a single-day, pen-and-paper based test comprising two sections:

  • Paper I: Preclinical Subjects (Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, Microbiology). 180 questions, 3 hours, 540 marks.
  • Paper II: Para-Clinical and Clinical Subjects (Pathology, Forensic Medicine, PSM, Medicine, Surgery, OBGYN, Pediatrics). 270 questions, 3 hours, 810 marks.

Each question carries 3 marks, with negative marking for incorrect answers (-1 mark). The total marks for the exam are 1350.
